You get the first email after you have registered with your username, called the Validation/Verification Email. Your account IS NOT LEGIT until you have GOTTEN this first email, and VERIFIED the account! Your account now exists, but that doesn’t mean you’re in! I repeat, YOU ARE NOT IN YET.
